I need help- I'm trying to load my Ipod with music to workout at the gym with and can't think of anything else to put on it! What songs do you (or would you) run/workout to?
Believe it or not, a LOT of Godsmack. Angry music helps me want to keep working out. Oh, and poppy sounding disco. *rolls eyes* Think roller skating rink disco - Play that funky music white boy/car wash/funky town are the first three that come to mind and just about anything by the B52s.
PS.. I just got the new cd.. "Cadillac Records" soundtrack!! Omg.. go and have a listen.. I put most of the music in my video section! You'd probably get a kick out of it!
Janeen, I see you got your advice. :) You just go to iTunes and do a search for stuff like exercise, workout, etc. There are entire albums dedicated to different types of workouts, spm (steps per minute, I always mis-call it beats per minute), etc. There are 80s remakes and current music and classic rock, etc. It's not by the original musicians, and some of them sound horrible. But some are not bad. :) You can buy the whole album or just pick and choose songs for 99¢ each. I love that stuff for making playlists that have so many minutes of warmup, heavy cardio, cool down, etc. But I think music is a really personal thing for a lot of people, and you'll just have to find what works for you. That's what works for me. :)
Phillips, Craig and Dean has some good tunes. Switchfoot, 3rd Day. I only listen to Christian Musik, so that is what I myself would put on any musik listening devise.
I loved working out to Moby back when I had a gym membership though. His music may not seem like good stuff to workout too, but check out his album "Play".
i always liked working out to Metal. I don't know if you are much into heavy metal but if i had to guess i would say no. But if you do let me know. i could even post some songs you could download too
put some oldies on it like Foreigner, Bad Company, ELO etc. Or even go further back into the 50 & 60's stuff!! Now THAT is MUSIC!
ReplyDeleteI use actual workout music downloaded from iTunes to make my own mix at certain bpm.
