It rarely snows here, and when it does it is mostly in January and February. The last white Christmas this area saw was in 1947. Between yesterday and today, we have 5 inches on the ground! I love it- everything looks so beautiful. Well, until the kids tracked it up with feet, doggie prints, and 4 wheeler tracks!
The water in your pool isn't frozen. Why?
ReplyDeleteI never think of you having any houses around you. Why do I think of your house in the middle of nowhere?
ReplyDeleteit looks so cold and dark. I'd be inside, sitting by the fire too
ReplyDeleteIt is running- and it isn't that cold. Hovering right at freezing. Next weekend... highs in the 60's!
ReplyDeleteIt is next to a tract of land that is 100 undeveloped acres. But that's an assisted living center across the road, and the highway is to the left. I can see the church and fire dept out my bedroom window. We're not secluded at all!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That's the kind of snow we're getting, wet and clingy. Heavier to shovel but so much prettier than a dry snow that doesn't cling to anything.
ReplyDeleteLooks like my part of the world. Snow and cold have been here for quite awhile now. Did I mention I really don't like winter lol.....
ReplyDeleteI'm not real happy about being cold, but if I have to be cold, I like to see snow!
ReplyDeletegreat photos..... we've got all that and more, lol...... in NJ or Mi this would be a 'sneeze at' , but I shudder to think how things are going to go once it freezes..... ;-)
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteNo kidding- it hovered at freezing or just above today, so everything is really wet. Going down to 19 here, so even the roads will freeze with the brine on them if they miss that by a degree or two.
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S why. I think you showed me a picture of your house and it looks like you're out in the woods. lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight!!!
ReplyDeleteYep, I guess this is the "anti-black" Christmas! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHey, hey, hey, NICE!!!
ReplyDeleteJaneen it looks so beautiful and cherry well winter cheery!
ReplyDeleteI agree, if it is going to be cold, I want snow.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kenne!
ReplyDeleteare those deer tracks? lol
ReplyDeleteMaybe- or dog tracks....
ReplyDeletehahha....coyote
ReplyDeleteCould be!
ReplyDeletehe was coming for a swim maybe......or to blow your house down like the big bad wolf.
ReplyDeleteIf he jumped in right now he'd freeze! I can't believe the pool isn't one large chunk of ice. I've kept the pump running, though.
ReplyDeletethat is smart, if not, it would burst huh?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah- running water freezes slower. I'd hate to replace pump and pipes!
ReplyDeletegreat pic.
