My White Christmas

It rarely snows here, and when it does it is mostly in January and February. The last white Christmas this area saw was in 1947. Between yesterday and today, we have 5 inches on the ground! I love it- everything looks so beautiful. Well, until the kids tracked it up with feet, doggie prints, and 4 wheeler tracks!

  1. The water in your pool isn't frozen. Why?

  2. I never think of you having any houses around you. Why do I think of your house in the middle of nowhere?

  4. It is running- and it isn't that cold. Hovering right at freezing. Next weekend... highs in the 60's!

  5. It is next to a tract of land that is 100 undeveloped acres. But that's an assisted living center across the road, and the highway is to the left. I can see the church and fire dept out my bedroom window. We're not secluded at all!

  6. Beautiful! That's the kind of snow we're getting, wet and clingy. Heavier to shovel but so much prettier than a dry snow that doesn't cling to anything.

  9. great photos..... we've got all that and more, lol...... in NJ or Mi this would be a 'sneeze at' , but I shudder to think how things are going to go once it freezes..... ;-)

  10. No kidding- it hovered at freezing or just above today, so everything is really wet. Going down to 19 here, so even the roads will freeze with the brine on them if they miss that by a degree or two.

  16. If he jumped in right now he'd freeze! I can't believe the pool isn't one large chunk of ice. I've kept the pump running, though.
