Here is a video Jamie (iowamom) sent Kat (**Kat**) from her home in Iowa. Let's all pray for Jamie and her neighbors as they are threatened by these flood waters.
Me too- I know I was joking about sending me some, but I don't want this. We are in a drought here, so if you want to pray for the rain to move on this way that is fine with me!
The report is not good.. She said it's pretty bad there... Both the flood and all the storming going on. She said the levy is breaking :( and parts of their town are being evacuated. :(
Good to hear that you didn't get drowned. House cats don't swim very well. (I can't help but envision you, a grey house cat, in a life preserver, meowing, "HELP!")
We've got a lot of rain. Thankfully, we're on high ground in town for the most part. I thought at one point the river was going to flood. It did but it didn't flood the bridge out.
Hi Janeen, I just came to look at that video. We are in need of some rain here. It's been mainly sunny for weeks now. I wish we could take some of yours. Take care Janeen. Dai with stomach full of rice and Kati's vegetable korma.
Aw .. and they live in such a beautiful area! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for them. Scary, scary stuff. Ove here from Kat's site .. thanks for posting the video for us.
That's close! I think if I lived there I'd be putting something round my house to stop the bulk of the water getting in. Hope it works out good for her!!
OMG that was an awful storm...I just saw the 6 o'clock news and saw that boy scout camp that was struck. 4 dead and many more injured....its awful.
ReplyDeleteWow! The waters are receding a bit here but we're going to get more storms tonight and maybe tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't get any more water.
