Ten Thought Tuesday

1. I love my new alarm clock! It works!

2. I love my new eating plan. Salads are more fun if someone else eats them with you!

3. I lost 3 pounds this week.

4. Probably because I've done 26 minutes of step aerobics a day on my Wii Fit.

5. My calf muscles hurt.

6. The Panthers won their first game of the year. (Watch for flying pigs!)

7. I'm addicted to Mexican train dominos! We could play for hours each night. (Well, at least it is cheap entertainment.)

8. I'm going to see Mamma Mia! on Thursday night. I haven't seen an adult movie in the theatre since Titanic!

9. I am getting very used to Scott being at the house every day. He is going camping this weekend with his best guy friends. Wonder if he'll miss me as much as I'll miss him?

10. I am excited to have things to look forward to. We're going to ride the Virginia Creeper trail for my birthday present (birthday is Oct.5, but we're going on the 4th because we have duties at church on Sunday.) We're also going to the state fair at the end of October, and we have plans to see the Charlotte Symphony's pops Christmas concert!

  1. 1. That's so cool, Dish! I'm happy for you, AND your alarm clock!
    2. I'd like to get on that plan.
    3. Congratulations!
    4. I'm a little jealous now....I'd like to have one of those.
    5. Does your alarm clock give massages?
    6. Flying pigs?
    7. You might have to 'splain that.
    8. I'd kind of like to see that...I always liked Abba...
    9. I have a feeling he will.
    10. It is nice to anticipate, isn't it?

  2. 1. I don't hear alarm clocks, human or otherwise... The only ones that get my attention are feline and I tend to ignore them, too.

    2. Eating is better when you eat with someone else

    3. More than I have...

    4. I haven't worked out in forever and I can tell.

    5. Nope. Not here. Sorry. Um, well, I guess I COULD offer to massage them but don't take that the wrong way or nothing.

    6. Panthers? Flying Pigs?

    7. What's that?

    8. What's Mamma Mia?

    9. I don't know. Ask him.

    10. Your birthday sounds like a lot of fun!

  3. Yes Sabrina, and it was his idea, too! I called him Monday morning and he called me this morning. We're going to try to get up earlier and get our Bible study done before the day starts instead of trying (and sometimes failing) to get it done at night. So far so good!

Well if you live in the Carolina's, you know that the Panther's win about as often as pigs fly! Especially to teams who are supposed to whallop them!

A friend showed us how to play Mexican train dominoes- and we're addicted. All I knew about dominoes is that you can stand them up and knock them down. Now I know that they have dots on them for a reason!

Momma Mia! is a movie that they made out of the Broadway musical of Abba's music. Should be really good!

And yes, Dave, I like having things to anticipate. Surprise and impulse are often nice, but I can enjoy something so much longer if I've looked forward to it!

  4. Yes it is! I told Dave about it the other day, because this was entirely Scott's idea. I thought that was so strange, especially since we've been talking about it for months!

  5. I so understand that, Dish. I have a lot of things I'm looking forward to these days...

  6. Hmmm, I can relate to this!

21 days, Dish, to establish a habit....and I can tell you from personal experience, it's true!

  7. Well I hope it becomes a habit- I like it!

  10. I'm liking my WiiFit. Biggest problem I have is getting to it. The kids stay on the Wii. I've had to stake out my time and claim it!

  11. lol! I'd like to get a Wii but Art says no more video players in the house. *shrugs* I can always go work at the gym but I've not had the time lately.

  12. We had a playstation 2 that didn't work more than it did. So this is really the only system here now.

  13. Oh... we've got the two computers, an X-box and a PS2... Art won't get any more, even if for the ONE Wii Fit.
