Momma has to brag: First volleyball game of the season for my 9th grader and she started! And played the entire match! One ace, 3 blocks, and 5 kills!! Solid effort from her (even though they lost the game...)

    I guess these are words I need to learn....'ace', 'block' and 'kill'...lol.

    And hey...it's not about winning, but how you play the game, right?

    Ok, volleyball terminology:
    Ace= a serve that is not returnable
    Kill= a crushing hit that is not reachable or returnable
    Block= when you get in the way of one of those crushing blows and send it back in their face!
