Entry for November 10, 2006

We're enjoying a day or two of warmer weather here in the south. That is the way November goes sometimes- freeze you until you unpack all your sweaters and then voila! (Where is my short sleeve shirt?) So now I have a closet of clothes all over the place. The summer stuff is out, the winter stuff is out, and I can't find a thing that matches.

This weekend is dedicated to throwing out the old- all those size 20 clothes that will never, AND I MEAN NEVER EVER, be worn again. Goes against my "gotta-sav-it-all-because-you- never-know-what-you-will-need" tendencies, but I can do it! I avtually tried on size 14 clothes the other day and they fit well! So I know the 20's and 18's have to go!

Letting go is hard. Watching the boys become teenagers and letting them go a little is hard.  I like to keep the things and  people I love close, and sometimes it is best to open my hand, let them breathe, clean out the clutter. So it is clutter weekend. Here's to letting the old stuff go, and letting the growing things breathe.
